Volunteers play a major role in the success of the Family Room.  Without volunteers, the Family Room would not be possible and many families would have nowhere to turn during one of the most difficult times in their lives.  There are plenty of opportunities for those interested in volunteering at the Ronald McDonald Family Room depending on your interests and skills.  While volunteering you may: check famlies in and out, answer the phone, accept donations, change sleep rooms, dust counters, stock supplies, vacuum, etc.  Your mere presence alone will be a tremendous help, and every counter you wipe off and every inch of floor you vacuum will be an act of love and kindness that will make a huge difference in the life of a hurting parent.

Wish list items are items that are needed to help keep the Family Room running and to better serve the families that are staying there.  This would include items such as frozen entrees, microwavable meals, tissues, disinfectant wipes or sprays, laundry detergent, bleach, and trash bags.  The wish list is typically updated quarterly, or a new one is created if certain items are really needed.  To see our current wish list, click here.

The pull-tabs that are collected are sent to be recycled.  The money obtained from recycling the pull-tabs generates about $10,000 each year for general operating of the Ronald McDonald House and Ronald McDonald Family Room.  This is proof that every little bit helps!
