Ronald McDonald Family Room

at Kosair Children’s Hospital

 

Located within the oncology unit at KCH, this Family Room is just steps away from the patient rooms. Its two primary goals are to allow the parents to remain close to their child and to limit their interaction with others who may pass on germs or bacteria that could be harmful to their immune-suppressed child.

 

  Who Can Stay:  Anyone who has a child receiving a bone marrow transplant at KCH.

 

  What Services are Available:

 

             A restroom with shower facilities

             A kitchen area with donated food items

             A living room area with cable TV

             A computer with internet access

             A sleeping room where up to four families can get a good night’s rest.

 

  What is the Charge:            Everything provided is absolutely free of charge.
